Dumi Tshuma

Dumi Tshuma is the Director for Oxford Acuity in Africa and leads the Organisational Optimisation practice group. Dumi has over 15 years' experience in professional services in the areas of auditing, financial accounting, financial management, International Financial Reporting Standards and Reporting Accountant. His industry experience is wide ranging including banking, asset management, stockbroking, retirement funds, manufacturing, private equity and hospitality.

Prior to joining Oxford Acuity, Dumi was a partner in a Big 4 professional services firm, based in South Africa and specialising in financial services, where he was responsible for some of the largest client accounts. Dumi spent three years in Zambia successfully setting up the business, which went on to become one of the best performing practices of the firm in the Southern Africa region.

In the past, Dumi worked in the United Kingdom, Zimbabwe, Botswana, South Africa and Zambia as well as conducted quality assurance assignments in various African countries. Dumi has also held various leadership roles including being the Finance Director of the Financial Services Business Unit in a Big 4 firm, Human Resources Director as well as a member of the Audit Committee.

Dumi is a Chartered Accountant (SA) and Chartered Accountant (Zimbabwe) and holds an MBA from the University of Oxford. He is also a Registered Auditor with Independent Regulatory Board of Auditors in South Africa. Dumi holds a Bachelor of Accounting Honours Degree from the University of South Africa. He has also attended Business Leadership courses at Insead and Wharton Business Schools.

In his spare time, Dumi mentors young professionals in Africa at his boutique hotel in Zimbabwe and is based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
